A cute common seal pup needing rescuing, he was taken to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, where he rehabilitated and then returned to the wild.

Inspired by a family holiday to Cornwall and the sun setting across Watergate Bay.

Inspired by a family holiday to the Lizard peninsula in Cornwall. It's a lovely spring day. Sea gulls are flying across the coastline,  bees are buzzing around the pretty sea thrift on the cliff and it's low tide. Follow me down the path, past the boat, down to the sea, where we can see what treasures are left behind. There are already people down on the beach already, so let's join them and see what we can find, shells, driftwood, sea glass and fossils are all waiting to be discovered.

I've seen oystercatchers whilst on family holidays and thought they were such characters, I had to paint them. This one looks like he's having fun in the shallows, inviting you to join him for a paddle. I love the reflection too.
